Long-distance move from Dallas, TX to Homestead, FL

Don’t not use this company

DONT NOT! DONT NOT USE THIS COMPANY! please listen to the bad reviews. This company uses third parties to deliver your items but claim they are not a broker. Cassy is not honest and provides inaccurate information. My quote changed 3 times. I was changed for additional cubic feet because they did not pack the truck correctly to charge more. When the truck got to Florida from Texas it was through another company called Absolute Relocation Services who also has terrible reviews (3.6 stars on Google) they want you to pay by Zelle or Venmo which is very shady because I was told I could use my credit card. I was told 10 days and then it changed to 14/21 days. Once the truck got to my home (at 4pm versus 11am) like I was told the truck was in less cubic feet and packed to the rim. The movers who packed my place initially were also very rude and was just throwing things in boxes. This was the most unprofessional experience ever. The make it look like they are the actual moving company but they are not.

Long-distance move from Mamou, LA to Norwalk, CT

Professional movers!

This was a complicated move in that I have a lot of glass furniture (shelves & table tops), pictures, & mirrors. Everything was well protected with blankets and boxing including piano, beds, sofas, chairs, tables etc. I have found no damage. Some large pieces of furniture had to be taken apart, putting it back together was a complicated puzzle which was done well.

Long-distance move from Edson, KS to Metamora, IL

Thumbs up!

Found this company online and they had everything I needed for the move. Full service packing, Payment upfront, no hidden fees. They made the move less dreadful for sure. They took care of all the packing while I was working. They labeled all the boxes and were really organized. The guys helped unpack as well. The movers nailed it! Customer service to the max. I still thought I was going to get hit with an extra fee at the end but I was wrong. Payment really is one time here.

Long-distance move from Haines City, FL to Chicago, IL

Thumbs up!

This company gave me the cheapest of the three quotes I got. They were very helpful, friendly, obliging and considerate. I offered them more money because I had increased the number of boxes over the number we had quoted for. They said don’t worry about that, but I gave them an extra tip because I was so pleased with their work. I will definitely ask them again for my next move which is in coming months.

Long-distance move from Temple, TX to Cleveland, OH

I was defrauded during my move

I booked a cross country move with Puma and requested a quote to move a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house and was quoted 950 cubic feet on their truck with a rate per cubic foot, subject to change based on actual space used. The major items were confirmed a few days prior to the move and I was assured that the quote was at least in the ballpark for space needed for my items. When moving day came, the driver surveyed my entire house, all items that were to be moved, boxes included. He told me prior to starting to load the truck that he estimated my items would require 1400 cubic feet of space on the truck, increasing my cost by approximately 50%. This was very disappointing, but I had to carry on because they knew I had to get out of my house that day. This was just the beginning. The crew began loading items on the truck and a few hours later they told me they had reached the estimated 1400 cubic feet of truck space, and if I wished to have the rest of my things loaded, I would have to sign a new estimate. At that point, the driver had not loaded a single bed, dresser, or any furniture from my daughter's bedroom. The driver at this point let me know that it would require the whole truck for the remainder of my items to fit, which totaled 1900 cubic feet. So after this "professional" mover surveyed my entire house and every item present, he was off by another 35% on space. When questioned on this, he stated "I'm not sure why they gave you that original quote, a 4 bedroom house is always the entire truck". When I asked him why he had told me only 60% of the entire truck earlier in the morning after seeing all the items to be loaded, he told me "I didn't want to scare you off at the beginning." Basically admitting to defrauding me and lying about the cost of the move. He knew I was in a vulnerable position and had to get out of my house that day, and he took advantage. At this point, I asked to talk to his supervisor and he refused to allow me to talk to anyone else, instead blaming me for misrepresenting the amount of items to be brought on the truck. I reached out to my original sales representative, Sarah, who was extremely nice leading up to this point. She also blamed me for the problem and took zero responsibility and offered no recourse. I then had no choice but to pay over double the originally quoted price for my move. To make things worse, at the end of the loading, the driver let me know they couldn't fit all my belongings on the truck, and he drove away without offering another way to get my items out of the house. He left my Peloton treadmill, Big Green Egg smoker, coffee table and approximately 30 boxes in the house/garage. This forced me to open a storage unit for the next year and store a lot of my items instead of having them moved with me, another added expense. I also had to scramble and move all these large items by myself in less than 24 hours without any help. From the attitude of the driver, sales people, and management on moving day, I truly believe they knew exactly what they were doing, and I would be shocked if I was the first person this had happened to. I hope no one else uses this company and avoids this nightmare of an experience that I had.

Long-distance move from California to Texas

CA to Dallas.

I just worked with Puma for the first time to help me get a big piece of equipment from California to Dallas. They were able to schedule the pick up within a week. The dispatcher gave me a call to let me know when to expect the pick up in CA and the day of the driver called me when he arrived to ensure he picked everything up correctly. They were efficient and communicated well during the process. I was then able to store the equipment for several days until I was ready for delivery in Dallas. The delivery guys were prompt. They unloaded the pieces and even set everything up for me, super nice guys because it was very heavy. Even with several loads and unloads by the Puma drivers the equipment came in perfect condition, no dents or scratches. The whole process was much easier than I had expected since I did not have someone in CA to help with the pick up, Puma took care of everything and at a reasonable price. I will use them again in the future.

Long-distance move from McKinney, TX to Issaquah, WA

Move from Tx to WA state.

Debbie gave us the quote. I requested few changes while I was negotiating the quote; she was way too flexible (RED Flag!!). We were residing in WA for work so three of us flew in to Texas to make the move. The mover (forgot his name – an older guy) who came to move made it so DIFFICULT!! (Whatever we agreed with Debbie did not matter to him). He walked out on us twice. He knew we had no choice because we flew in from WA just for the weekend. The guy was so arrogant that one of his team members apologized for his behavior. Original Quote was $2800 and the guy demanded $4200. During this whole ordeal, Debbie was not reachable and the other operations guys (Donna, Cecilia.S and Javier. A) were extremely difficult to work with. Since the charge kept going up, we had to leave 7or 8 boxes and couple of suitcases back. The whole experience was unbearable. I will NEVER recommend this company for anyone. I wish I had read some reviews before choosing Puma Van Lines. I would have paid more instead of going through the painful experience. Since I told Puma Van lines that I am going give a bad review, they reduced the cost a bit. BUT it’s not worth the experience. Boxes were damaged, TV console was damaged, One of my clay pots, about 4 ft tall was completely broken, Tempurpedic mattress was torn (worth more than $4000). Though Debbie had asked us to buy plastic wraps (According to government compliance that the mattresses need to be wrapped in plastic) the movers did not use any of the plastic wraps we bought. They just folded the mattress in half and tied with tapes. They did not follow anything that Debbie and I agreed on. I will NEVER recommend this company at any cost. I did not go through the pain of filing a complaint as I know that they would have made a big deal not have compensated. Beware! Don’t fall for Debbie’s quote. The one and only nice thing about the whole move is that the guy who dropped the stuff in WA was friendly.

Long-distance move from Largo, FL to Dallas, TX

AZ to Texas AND FL to TX.

Undisclosed fees, poor communication.
I had issues moving things from AZ to TX
I said then I would not use them when after experiencing extremely poor communication and a "ESTIMATED QUOTE" that was approx $1500 off. TOTAL COST APPROX &4200.00
When we moved my girlfriend stuff from FL to TX I was looking for another company but my girlfriend wanted to give them another try. BAD DECISION! I paid everything up front, they waived the 3% fee for using a credit card and gave us a $150.00 return customer discount. However, I owed another $865.00. Endured listening to the driver argue with my girlfriend that they'll just pack up and leave AS I WAS ON THE PHONE PAYING THE ADDITIONAL $$. The driver missed 2 deadlines in Florida, faker to call us in Texas 1 hour before arrival (I called him for an ETA) TOTAL COST APPROX $3900.00
IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A GOOD DEPENDABLE MOVING COMPANY KEEP LOOKING.
